Piping Engineer

(AutoCAD Plant 3D)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Piping Engineer with expertise in AutoCAD Plant 3D. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality piping systems for industrial and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed 3D piping designs and layouts using AutoCAD Plant 3D for projects in industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, and Industrial Facilities.
  • Create and deliver Piping General Arrangement (GA) drawings, isometric drawings, and spool drawings.
  • Generate accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and Material Take-Offs (MTO) from 3D models.
  • Perform piping routing, modeling, and clash detection using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards such as ASME, ANSI, API, and client specifications.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical) to ensure seamless integration and coordination of piping systems.
  • Conduct model reviews with clients and resolve any design-related issues.
  • Provide ongoing support to the project team during the fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and as-built records.

Requirments:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in piping design, with a strong focus on AutoCAD Plant 3D software.
  • Proficiency in 3D piping design, isometric drawing generation, and clash detection using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  • Strong understanding of piping components, materials, and relevant standards (ASME, API, ANSI, etc.).
  • Knowledge of P&ID development and interpretation.
  • Experience with equipment modeling and integrating it into piping systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Navisworks for clash detection and model review.
  • Basic understanding of piping stress analysis tools (e.g., CAESAR II).
  • Knowledge of plant design and layout optimization techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly for client interactions.
